Founder - Caregivers Support Hub
As a retired Occupational Therapy Assistant with over 27 years of helping people overcome obstacles and achieve their physical, emotional and mental goals, twenty-three of those years were focused on individuals 55 years and older. Throughout my professional journey, I gained extensive knowledge and skills in Occupational therapy. As a professional caregiver, I am committed to providing compassionate and effective consultation services to those in need.
"My passion for seeing others get healed and overcome obstacles in their health emanated from my issue with a genetic disease that became evident in childhood. However, Occupational Therapy was a second career choice. "
My Experience
I worked and was licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in several states of the USA including New York, Virginia, and Georgia and most recently as a Travel COTA in the state of Texas, USA. My expertise was developed in several settings including hospitals, pre-schools, out-patient clinics, home health services, Assisted living and long-term care facilities.
After retiring, I worked part-time as a professional in-home caregiver to individuals 60 years and older for two years. Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the needs and concerns of caregivers and the importance of providing support and resources to this underserved population.
In 2023, I decided to combine my passion for seeing individuals overcome obstacles including disabilities, health challenges and decreased physical functioning due to illnesses and the effects of aging through occupational therapy, as well as my personal experience as a professional in-home caregiver by starting my own consultation service for caregivers.
After retiring, I worked part-time as a professional in-home caregiver to individuals 60 years and older for two years. Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the needs and concerns of caregivers and the importance of providing support and resources to this underserved population.
As the founder and CEO of the Caregiver Support Hub, I am dedicated to helping caregivers navigate the challenges of caring for their loved ones and ensuring that they receive the support to thrive while they provide the love, dignity and compassion to their care recipients.
