Provide educational resources and training programs for caregivers to enhance their knowledge and skills in caregiving. This can include referral to workshops or online courses covering topics such as caregiving techniques, effective communications, managing challenging behaviors and self-care strategies. As well as frequent blogs covering various topics concerning caregiving.

Caregiver Assessment and Care Plans:

Conduct assessments of the caregiver’s needs, capabilities, and resources, as well as the care recipients’s condition, preferences and requirements. Develope a personalized care plan based on the assessment to address specific strategies, resources and services tailored to the caregiver and the care recipient’s unique situation.

Respite Care Coordinator

Assist in arranging respite care services, which involves providing temporary relief to caregivers by having trained professionals or volunteers step in to care for the care recipient. Help caregiver identify respite care options, coordinate schedules, and ensure a smooth transition to respite care services.

Caregiver Advocacy & Navigation

Assist the family caregiver in understanding their rights and navigating the complex healthcare and social service systems. Assisting the caregiver in accessing available resources and benefits such as financial counseling, legal advice, Eldercare Advisors, local Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathologists and/or Physical Therapists as well as other local resources and benefits.

I am Marilyn J Smith, the founder and CEO of “Caregivers Support Hub”. I have 27 years of experience in the healthcare industry. I worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and an in-home caregiver for 2.5 years to assigned clients. I am passionate about the care and dignity of the senior individual. I am proud to have made a difference in the lives of so many individuals and families. Providing high-quality services to my clients is of utmost importance.
